Testimonial

Dear Pacific Fox,

Now that my website has been up and running for a couple of months, I would like to thank the Pacific Fox team for the outstanding effort that has gone into building my website www.redlandscleaningsolutions.com.au

Having a product data base as big as I have, I thought that there may be many problems to occur or that it may be outside my budget.

From building and structuring our website and working within our budget and limits, from structuring a site that is easy to navigate around. A site that is full of all the information required on every product, even allowing the site to be updated in the future, and so much more. You have covered every base.

But most importantly creating a website that stands out in a crowd, I am already getting positive feedback from my clients on how the website looks.

Even my internet marketing program, I am amazed at its performance so far. And our sales are increasing weekly from our website.

I have to thank and congratulate Pacific Fox on a job well done in every aspect.

Kind regards,

Col Pickering

Client introduction

‘Redlands Cleaning Solutions’ is a local family run business, manufacturing and distributing the finest of quality cleaning products and supplies for business, home, auto, personal etc. with a product range over 2,000 items.

Project overview

The client was after a website to put online his more than 2,000 items large product line and allow clients to enquire about the products. Our initial proposal was out of budget range for the client, and we therefore sat down and had a look where we could cut some corners and still be able to accommodate the client and it’s customers, our suggestion was to start with a simpler design for the website, leave out the product search, shopping basket and website management console, and upgrade at a later date when required.

We programmed a back-end procedure for the client that imports his Excel spreadsheet into a MySQL database, assigns the right photo and makes the products available online. As there won’t be frequent product updates it will currently be more cost effective to have us perform any future importing of product changes, however, once the client is ready to upgrade to a website management console, he will be able to upload the Excel file himself and run the procedure to import any product changes at any time of the day, from any location.

Since the client also manufactures some of his own products, but had no photos of the products, we suggested a professional photo shoot with a photographer, we arranged the photo shoot for the client and provided some ideas for the shoot. We are currently only using the thumb nails of the photos, but as the product range grows and the website evolves we will be able to use the larger versions of the photos on product detail pages.

For the design of the website we sat down with the client and asked about the preferred colours and images, we displayed a range of photos from which the client picked a few that we used in the design.
